Murphy Manor

The Affordable Housing Conservancy completed weatherization and electrification work on the 26 units at Murphy Manor. Through the Climate Friendly Homes Fund, the Conservancy equipped the building with all-electric hot water heaters and air source heat pumps to enhance heating efficiency, while installing new insulation to boost energy performance. These initiatives will significantly improve Murphy Manor's energy efficiency, delivering cost savings to both the building owner and residents.

Weatherization Measures

Existing refrigerators were replaced with new, Energy Star rated refrigerators

Efficient, all-electric hot water heaters replaced the previous gas hot water heaters

Ventilation fans, smart switches, and range hood vents were installed to improve ventilation per ASHRAE standard

Funding from the Climate Friendly Homes Fund supported the installation of air source heat pumps in every unit
